Amity University released a notification to submit fees for the next semester to its students highlighting the last date to be 11 June. This news has disturbed the students of the university as everyone is facing a tough time and economic liability of this kind adds more pain in the pandemic. Students complained that the last date should be extended.

It is also to be noted that the fees is increased by 5 percent this time, sources reported. During the corona crisis, it is tough for parents to pay such a hefty sum of amount to the university administration. The pandemic has negatively affected the pockets of parents and university administration should seriously consider this as a legitimate point.

It is a suggestion to the university to extend the payment of fees till the situation is under control. Once everything gets back to the normal, then the notification can be re-released. Till then, it should be suspended.

University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a letter to all Vice Chancellors and principals of universities and colleges respectively to sympathetically deal with the fee payment and offer alternative options till the situation returns to normal. UGC also advised the universities to consider individual requests from students concerning fee payment in considerate manner.
