Religion is very important part of our lives. Our faith and belief decides our taste and preferences. Religion plays an important role in our upbringing and grooming. Everyone follows their religion and apply the teachings and moral values of their religion. But how humans should approach religion. Does religion and logic go hand in hand? Do human beings believe, belief and logic are mutually exclusive? But all human beings keep the logic aside and blindly accept their faith. That’s why religion is called a blind faith. People are made to believe that religion is superior, religious beliefs are superior and following a religion is about the pride and honor. Why you need logic to understand the message of the god. Just follow it blindly and get the enormous blessings of the almighty.
What makes people to defy logical discoveries is a big question. The issue lies in the way that for some individuals, religious text are sacred text and it’s the message of God. Questioning religions and religious scriptures are considered a sin. As we can get, and in view of the legitimate and good irregularities that exist in different all sacred writing across different religions, we react to these irregularities by requesting that specialists “suspend motivation to discover truth”. What’s more, this is exceptionally hazardous way for human culture. This instructs us to accept that religions are unquestionably sound and addressing sacred writing is to apostasy. Many countries are known for blindly following their religion and defying the logic, which curtails the rights of its citizens in many ways. Saudi Arabia advocates for this type of scriptural peculiarity called Wahhabism and it is a risky type of strict practice inclined to fundamentalism and radicalism for example Al Qaeda and ISIS. An essential segment of religion is that it is a PERSONAL otherworldly excursion that is, every individual must cut out his/her way, without anyone else guided by truth and confidence.
Not a single religion is ready to admit that it accepts logic. No religious expert wants to use logic for inquiry of truth, but some do. In fact, there are a number of religions within which there are various strands out which some declaratively recognize rational enquiry as a vital tool to understand the contents of the divine message in whatever form, say, god’s revelation or eternal truths promulgated by their religion.
Why people fail to understand that we need to see religion from logical eyes. Many blind practices and loopholes in the religion will be exposed. People will understand the true meaning of religion and this will benefit the whole mankind. Expert should study the religion and try to logically explain things to people. Each and every religion and its followers should apply some logic.
Every religion has its flaws. People don’t accept any criticism of their religion. The time has come to evaluate and logically analyze every religion and its practices. Experts who are known for rational thinking and logical explanations must come forward. People should stop blindly following their religion and logic should be used to stop unethical religious practices and superstitious believes which has been harmful for the progress of Human Beings.
