Covid-19 is a contagious virus and spreads rapidly from a person to person. The Virus was first reported in the City of Wuhan in China, in December 2019. Since then the virus has gripped the entire world. It has been six months since the virus was first reported and the Vaccine for it is yet to be developed. Despite several efforts by the administration and health authorities worldwide, the pandemic is in no mood to slow down and thousands of cases are being reported every day around the world. The number of cases has crossed the 12 million mark. Till date, 12,180, 570 have been affected worldwide. With 552, 385 deaths reported and 7, 081, 410 recovered. America, Brazil, and India occupy the top three positions in the list of countries most affected by the outbreak. China has successfully defeated the virus with cases not going past the 90,000 mark. But, the pandemic refuses to slow down in America, Brazil, and India. According to the latest figures, In India, 769,257 are affected by the virus, with 10,000 deaths, and 476,600 people recovered. Doctors and health professionals are working day and night to battle the deadly virus and it is due to their hard word in such times that so many people have recovered to date. But, is the recovery rate satisfactory? Why the pandemic is not ready to slow down? When the entire world will be free of COVID? When will be the vaccine for the virus will be developed? How China managed to control the spread of COVID? These are the questions that need to be answered to end the mystery surrounding the COVID virus.
The social distancing norms and the lockdown were some of the measures proposed by the World Health Organization to counter the spread of COVID. But, the lockdown proved fatal for the normal life and paralyzed the system and the economy. Lockdown measured proved to be unsatisfactory and inefficient in controlling the pandemic as the cases are rapidly increasing in India. Maharashtra tops the list with the most affected state, followed the Tamil Nadu and the national capital Delhi. With a country of over 1 billion people, the 7 lakh figure might look small but it might prove really dangerous for a country that is already grappling with the low economy and high unemployment. Overall the recovery rate has been satisfactory and has been steadily increasing. India reported 1,823 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 33,610 on Thursday with 8,373 recoveries and 71 deaths.
Now the time has come to cure the spread of COVID through natural and herbal remedies. Taking a cue from a small city like Malegaon in Maharashtra. Malegaon is a densely populated city and was a COVID hotspot. But soon there was a rapid decrease in the rise of covid cases. People were using a drink (kaada) which is made up of some natural and herbal seeds which effectively countered the spread of COVID in Malegaon. Though the cases are rapidly increasing, there is a little hope. Cases might decrease by November and December. But apart from lockdown and social distancing some different measures must be taken by the government to make India covid free by end of the year.
