Sero surveillance has been started by the ICMR team in Chhattisgarh . The ICMR team compiled samples to examine antibodies in people’s bodies in Raipur, Durg and Rajnandgaon districts. Sero surveillance conducted by experts of ICMR by National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh under Health and Family Welfare Department, will reveal disease resistance against Covid-19 in common people and high risk groups. The report of sero surveillance will also help in preparing a strategy to deal with corona infection in the state.
Three different teams of the ICMR collected samples of common people and high-risk groups such as immuno-compromised individuals, hospital staff, police, migrant workers, industrial personnel, media and staff working among the crowd. The sample will be compiled by the team on 18 September at Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Mungeli, Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa.
The ICMR team collected sampled 40 people in Serikheri, Siliarikhurd, Biladi and Khauna in Raipur district. The team also compiled samples of seven high risk group individuals in Siliyarikhurd and 44 in Khauna. In Mohlai of Durg district, 40–40 samples of common citizens and high risk groups, 40 of common citizens in Samoda and 44 of high risk individuals, and 40–40 samples of common citizens and high risk groups in Kokdi were compiled. Sample collections of 42 people of common people and 51 of high risk persons in Surgi in Rajnandgaon district, 40 of general citizens and 34 people of high risk category in Rengakathera and 40 people of general population in Nawagaon and 30 people of high risk group were done.
