Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Emphasizes Humility and Service During Burhanpur Visit

Burhanpur: His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community worldwide, addressed thousands of community members today at the Hakimi Masjid in Lodhipura on the occasion of the death anniversary (urs) of Syeddi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin. The historic Dargah-e-Hakimi complex, where Syeddi Hakimuddin rests, holds deep reverence among the Bohra community in Burhanpur and around the world.

Recognized as a central hub of Dawoodi Bohra heritage, the city saw approximately 20,000 community members gather today at the Dargah-e-Hakimi complex and surrounding areas.

In his address, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin spoke about Burhanpur’s unique place in the community’s history, describing it as a city built on knowledge, devotion, and service. He emphasized how the values established by revered scholars like Syeddi Hakimuddin continue to guide the community’s conduct even in modern times.

Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin explained how knowledge helps a person become more humble. He stated that as a person’s intelligence and understanding grow, their humility and desire to help others should also increase. Addressing the gathering, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin urged community members to draw inspiration from the generational legacy of past scholars and lead lives rooted in honesty, discipline, and service to society.

Syeddi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin was born in 1665 during the era of the 34th Dai, Syedna Ismail Badruddin. He was unparalleled in his scholarship and authored several influential works in Urdu, Sanskrit, Persian, and Arabic. Renowned for his humility and intellectual depth, he remains one of the most respected figures associated with Burhanpur’s rich cultural history.
