Trolling on engineers is prevalent nowadays on a very high scale that now it’s mandatory to write about engineering and engineers.
” The worst degree! Wastage of 4 years! Your minds are now garbage! Your thinking skills are ceased! You took the worst decision of your life! ”
These all are the statements which are still irritating your minds while reading. Why ? Because every second person is blaming you for pursuing the degree in engineering. Maybe, all of my engineering friends know the above situation very well.
Let’s start with some general points.
The Android smartphones you are addicted are developed by an engineer. The buildings, the roads, and the bridges are developed by an engineer. The companies which are creating a boon in the whole world are being run by engineers. The software behind every social media app is being developed by an engineer. The network which connects the whole world is possible because of an engineer.The birth of a new talent is made possible because we are engineers.
Every disease which can be cured nowadays is all because of the technology developed by engineers. Every legal matter where the proof is kept at the highest importance is made possible of the engineering technologies.No one can deny that the real culprit who is behind the bars is because of some device that is being used while investigation. So everyone needs to understand that it’s not because of the engineers or of the respective field because every field has its own importance and is mandatory for a proper cycle.
The graph of engineering has a major downfall that’s because of the quantity. The education system is so conserved in its own shell that it not giving opportunities to every student in their field of interest. So stop bullying the most powerful degree of all.
You would be thinking that these are some ground points and what’s new in this and are known to all. So let’s go into the life of an engineer.
The 4-year phase of an engineer is a commendable journey. Hundreds of assignments and eight-semester exams with proxy attendances and bunking classes are the best part of any student. Here you not only learn theories but you witness the practical aspects of life. You come across heartbreaks, loyalty issue, and friendship goals. Every sphere of life will be in front of you.
These four years aren’t the years which we are wasting, these are the years in which we are learning to stand in the swamp, to grow in the quakes and to struggle with our own disappointments. All this makes every engineering student so stiff, that without going in depression we can fight with the scorching heat and even stand on the platform of drought.No matter what lives throws at you we are able to handle with a smiling gesture.
So stop judging the engineers, we are the persons who developed the whole world and the best humans. Be proud to be an engineer.
