NEW DELHI: Accepting the fact that there are many patients in whom the residual effects of COVID are seen, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Director, Dr Randeep Guleria said that the government is setting up a clinical trial registry, which will follow up with patients for one year to see how many of them are developing post-COVID outcomes.
“After six months in the pandemic, we are realising that there are many patients, in whom the residual effects of COVID can be very mild like fatigue, body aches….. some may recover in 6-8 weeks, some may take a longer time to recover and some may see permanent damage to some organs,” said Dr.Guleria.
